Frequently Asked Questions About Our Aussiedoodles
Are Aussiedoodles and Australian Mountain Doodle good with kids?
Yes! Our puppies are exposed to children in our home and make wonderful family dogs!
What colors do your Doodles come in?
Our Aussiedoodles come in a variety of colors such as Tricolor, Phantom, and Merle. For more information on each color, please visit our Doodles Colors page.
How does your waiting list work?
If you would like to be placed on our priority waiting list we require a completed application. After you are approved we will reserve your place on the list and you will be given an order of pick. It is never too early to get on our list! The sooner you do the better chance you have of getting the puppy you want. Please check out our UPCOMING LITTERS & NURSERY pages for information on our current and future litters. Updates will be made by email.
Do doodles enjoy hiking/being outdoors?
Yes! The majority of our Doodles go to active families who enjoy outdoors activities together.
What sizes do you raise?
We currently raise standards and small standards.
Our Standard Aussiedoodles are generally 40-50+ lbs at maturity and our small standards are 30-40 lbs at maturity.
Can I visit you and meet your dogs before placing a deposit or picking my new puppy?
All of our puppies are raised in our home and cared for by our family. We currently only allow visits from those on our waiting list and how have submitted an application. Some of our dogs live in guardian homes therefore; they aren’t always at our home to be seen.
What is the difference between F1 & F1B?
We currently only work with F1 and F1B Doodles. Coat type will vary no matter what generation and breed of Doodle you choose. Typically, an F1 pairing will produce straight & wavy coats. F1B pairings typically produce wavy and curly coats.
An F1 Doodle puppy is a result of two different purebred parent dogs.
Example: A purebred Australian Shepard x Purebred Poodle would make an F1 Aussiedoodle , 50/50 cross.
An F1B Doodle puppy is a result of an F1 Doodle parent and a Purebred Poodle.
Example: F1 Aussiedoodle x Purebred Poodle would make an F1B Aussiedoodle, 75/25 cross.
What is the total price?
Each puppy is priced differently. Please view our pricing page for a breakdown of the total cost.
Are your dogs health tested?
All of our parent dogs are health tested or in the process of completing their health testing. Health testing results for each parent dog can be viewed on our Mom and Dads page.
Will I meet the parents when I pick up my puppy?
Our mom dogs are usually present during our litter pick days, however, they may or may not be available to be seen when coming to pick up your puppy at 8 weeks. Mom dogs may have gone home by the time your puppy is to be picked up. Our Dads do not live with us, as they are in guardian homes.
What are your policies on tail docking and dewclaw removal?
It is a personal preference for us to dock tails. We like the look that it gives the aussiedoodle. If you would like your puppy to have a tail it can be arranged. You would have to be first pick of an upcoming litter and we would pick your puppy by the requests made on your application. The puppy would have to be paid in full the day they are born. We have dewclaws removed for the safety of your puppy.
Do Doodles shed?
Our Doodles are low-non shedding. We cannot guarantee any dog to be hypoallergenic or non-shedding as each coat can vary although shedding in our adult Doodles is generally very mild. F1Bs will typically shed less (if any) than an F1.
