Why an Aussiedoodle?
Is your ideal dog non-shedding and hypo-allergenic?
Would you enjoy a dog that is outgoing, intelligent and a loyal companion?
How about a dog that is playful and has more personality than you can imagine?
If you said yes to any of these questions, then the Aussiedoodle could be the dog for you!

The Aussiedoodle is a relatively new crossbreed of an Australian Shepherd and Poodle. It is a combination of the best traits of both breeds. The goal of cross-breeding with a poodle is to get a low-shedding, hypo-allergenic haircoat. This is awesome for those who suffer from pet-related allergies.
The Aussiedoodle is extremely intelligent, friendly, and family-oriented. They excel in agility and are sometimes used as service or therapy dogs. These dogs love to play but are just as happy to lay at your feet or on your lap if allowed. The Aussiedoodle is very sweet, yet outgoing enough to interact with other pets and people. They are very patient with small children.
As with any new puppy, they need early socialization. They are eager to learn. Training must be done with reward, firmness, patience, and consistency. We recommend My Loyal Hound. We have partnered with them to help provide you with all the training resources puppy parents will need in order to experience better animal ownership and the very best canine companion.
Types of Aussiedoodles We Breed
We currently breed F1 and F1B Standard Aussiedoodles.

Our F1 Aussiedoodles are first generation bred from an Australian Shepherd and a Standard Poodle. F1 Aussiedoodles usually has a wavy coat with minimal shedding.

Our F1B Aussiedoodles are bred from an F1 Aussiedoodle and a Standard Poodle. The F1B Aussiedoodle usually has a wavy to a curly coat and are the least likely to shed out of the two types of Aussiedoodles.
What will my Aussiedoodle look like?
The Aussiedoodle is a beautiful dog that comes in many different colors. The goal is to retain the gorgeous coloring of the Australian Shepherd while getting a hair coat that is low to non-shedding. The size varies depending on the cross of the parents. Our Standard Aussiedoodles generally range from 17-24 inches at the shoulder and can weigh between 35-50+ pounds.
One of the advantages of our Aussiedoodles is that they shed very little, if at all. Their coats run the gamut from curly, straight or wavy, depending on the generation and parents. Our F1B Aussiedoodles are recommended for families with mild pet allergies.
Aussiedoodles come in a variety of patterns and colors. They typically have Blue, Green, or Brown eyes. It’s not uncommon to have a mixture of eye color. All of our Aussiedoodle tails are docked! Please visit our Aussiedoodle Colors page for more info on different coloration and patterns.
Their hair coat can vary from soft curl, wavy or straight. A visit to a professional groomer is a must every 6-8 weeks to maintain their hair coat. Some will need the hair in their ears removed to reduce the chance of infection. We recommend daily brushing to avoid tangles and matting. There are many different ways to have your Aussiedoodle clipped. Some choose to do a puppy cut others keep the shaggy natural look.

What kind of temperament will my Aussiedoodle have?
Aussiedoodles personalities are amazing around “velcro dogs”! They are loving, loyal and full of life. They make great family pets or a companion dog for anyone! Aussiedoodles enjoy playing outside or with lots of toys but will snuggle up for a nap anytime of the day. They are often referred to as velcro dogs because they like to be with you at all times.
